It's your most vital information.
It's your most irreplaceable, too.
Confidential customer data, CRM leads, order verification and contract agreements. Data generated in Salesforce is as critical as it is irreplaceable. You simply can’t afford the risk of not fully protecting it.
Backupify automatically backs up all your Salesforce data — daily. Accidental deletions, third-party app overwrites or incorrectly mapped fields – no matter what the cause, you never have to worry about losing a single byte of Salesforce data again. Standard objects, custom objects, attachments, files, metadata, even Chatter messages are copied to a separate cloud environment for quick restoration. Phew. What a relief.
High-level security puts your cloud data under lock and key
Backupify’s cloud security protocols protect your Salesforce data according to the strictest industry standards of protection. You can count on:
- SOC 2 Type II audited
- HIPAA and Safe Harbor compliance
- Built-in data encryption
- Data controls and monitoring, including audit logs, uptime and availability SLAs, and export capabilities
- Advanced internal controls
- Regular vulnerability management and testing
Initiate a backup at any time
It’s an industry best practice to back up a system just before uploading a significant amount of data or installing a third-party application. With Backupify, you can initiate a backup of your Salesforce data at any time.
Search less, find faster
It’s one thing to know you have your critical customer data backed up. But what if you need to quickly and easily find a file or object? Backupify’s robust search capabilities give you the power to pluck exactly what you’re looking for from vast stores of Salesforce cloud data
You can go back in time and retrieve all previous versions of a file. In other words, you can literally use Backupify to reconstruct the past.
Why should you back up Salesforce?
Salesforce infrastructure is highly available, scalable, backed up and fault tolerant. If something happens to their infrastructure, you will likely still have access to your data when it comes back online. However, there are few protections designed to protect you and get your business back to normal when the unthinkable happens.
Time-consuming, costly recovery
The 90-day Limit
As a last resort, Salesforce support can recover customer data at a specific point in time if it has been permanently deleted or corrupted, but it takes weeks. As a result, Salesforce documentation recommends customers use an additional backup solution as a best practice to prevent data loss.
The Salesforce Data Recovery Service costs a minimum of $10,000 and it could take weeks to receive recovered data (min 4-6 weeks). After waiting weeks, you’ll get CSV files to manually re-import into your Salesforce environment. You may even end up getting only a portion of your data as the Service does not guarantee full data recovery due to limitations as metadata, apex code and more.
Deleted data goes to the Recycle Bin for 90 days and is queried in an “isDeleted” API. When recovered, this data must be manually imported back into Salesforce. Data deleted more than 90 days ago is not recoverable.
Time lost in restoring files
The Salesforce weekly export process creates a collection of backup .cs files stored for 48 hours in Salesforce. Salesforce sends an email when the export is available, but the person receiving the email needs to make sure to download the zip file in 48 hours. Moreover the weekly export does not contain any metadata, apex code, or associated workflows, making recovery using this “backup” basically starting over from a customization perspective.
Data loss within previous drafts
Salesforce Export is not smart enough to pick up on changes to the environment if new objects are added after scheduling an export. These new objects are not included in the export. To have these new objects exported, you must reschedule export and choose “all objects” again, or manually check those newly added objects.
